This role will require deep involvement in design, implementation, test, and deployment of web applications such as CNN Underscored. The engineer will be responsible for creating customer facing products, testing artifacts, develop tooling to support massive growth of the CNN Commerce vertical. Candidate must have ability to test and learn newer technologies and concepts on the job related to best practices and operational excellence., * Work closely with the engineering and platforms team to build and enhance commerce products such as the CNN Underscored. * Exhibit good system engineering skills (e.g., common industry database design and practices, application architectures, operating systems concepts, networking, etc.) in addition to skills in application development. * Design and implement complex features that enhance the user experience. * Identify requirements for the improvement of the publishing platform to assist editors.
