A degree is welcome but a portfolio is required. * A portfolio that shows range. We want to see sites that could only belong to the business they were built for. If every site is the same layout in different colors, this is not the right fit. * Fluency in WordPress and Divi. Experience with Divi 5 is a plus; experience with Elementor or another builder is fine if you can show the transfer. * Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, enough to customize what the builder cannot or utilize tools like Advanced Custom Fields and Divi Engine. * Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Canva for client-facing templates. * Comfort with the technical layer: managed WordPress hosting, DNS, SSL, plugin conflicts, basic security and backups. * Understanding of on-page SEO and accessibility basics. * Clear written communication. Most of our work happens in Slack, Notion, and Asana, and most of our clients are not technical. * The ability to run several projects at once and tell us early if something is going to slip. * Self-starter who can be productive in a remote setting. ## Description * Design and build WordPress websites in Divi 5, from branding guide through launch, roughly one to two new builds a month. * Can find your way around other website platforms: SquareSpace, Shopify, Wix, Weebly. * Run our quarterly website maintenance program: updates, compatibility checks, and fixes. * Handle the technical side of a launch: DNS, hosting setup, SSL, redirects, and SEO fundamentals. * Build and troubleshoot forms, integrations, and plugins. * Make edits as needed when clients request it. * Produce print and digital design as projects call for it: newspaper and magazine ads, flyers, rack cards, social and email templates, digital advertising. * Write a short training manual for every site you launch and walk the owner through editing it. * Document technical processes in Scribe, Loom, and Notion so the team never depends on one person's memory. * Post a weekly status update in Slack and keep every project current in Asana. * Communicate with clients and participate in project meetings alongside our Operations Manager., * 25 hours a week, salaried, on a consistent schedule you set with the owner. * $48,100 annualized ($37 per hour equivalent), plus a $150 monthly HSA stipend, with a compensation review at six months. * Fully remote, Mountain Time hours. While hours are flexible, we aim for at least 3 hours of overlap with a typical 8am - 5pm MST schedule for meetings and client communication. * Paid holidays and unlimited PTO (really). Take the days you need as long as deadlines are met and nothing is left hanging for teammates without a plan. * Hours have the potential to grow toward full-time.
