Preferred Qualifications: * Experience developing software for ISR, intelligence, national security, defense, space, satellite, ground, or other mission-critical applications. * Active U.S. Security Clearance and/or experience working within classified environments, along with familiarity with secure software development and DevSecOps practices. Travel, Physical and/or Government Mandated Requirements: * Travel up to 10%, including the possibility of overnights, to support customers, program activities, integration and test events, suppliers, or other business needs. * Ability to work in office, laboratory, integration, test, and other operational environments as required by the program. * Certain positions may require eligibility for a U.S. Security Clearance and/or compliance with applicable export-control requirements. The good faith base salary range for this role is $104,000-$227,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. ## Description The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining mission-critical software and software-enabled systems supporting Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), national security, defense, and space applications. The position reports to the Engineering Manager and is part of the Software Engineering Department. Relocation assistance may be provided to qualified candidates. In this role, the essential functions are: * Design, develop, integrate, and maintain reliable software applications and services supporting ISR, defense, space, and national security missions. * Translate mission, system, and software requirements into scalable, maintainable software architectures, designs, interfaces, and technical solutions. * Develop software using modern programming languages such as C++, Python, Java, C#, Rust, or similar technologies, as appropriate to the program. * Develop and execute unit, integration, system, and automated tests; troubleshoot defects and performance issues; and support software verification and validation activities. * Collaborate with systems, hardware, embedded, test, cybersecurity, data, and mission engineering teams to integrate software into complex mission systems and operational environments. * Support software deployment, configuration management, continuous integration/continuous delivery, and DevSecOps practices across development, test, and production environments. * Participate in architecture and design reviews, technical planning, code reviews, risk assessments, and other engineering activities while maintaining clear technical documentation. * Apply secure software development, reliability, performance, and cybersecurity principles to mission-critical systems and rapidly evolving national security applications. ## Related Videos - [Your next 10x engineer isn't in your city.
