Ultimately, a top-class computer operator can set up, maintain, and troubleshoot operational issues without impeding productivity., * Knowledge of modern operating systems, networking, and MS Office software. * Knowledge of clerical and reporting skills. * Excellent attention-to-detail and problem-solving skills. * Ability to perform accurately, assigned routine operations on various data processing equipment. * Ability to work in high-pressure situations. * Ability to listen effectively and express thoughts and opinions clearly and concisely. * Ability to work well both alone and in highly structured team environment. * Excellent written and verbal communications capabilities with good interpersonal skills. * Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more. Education, Training, & Experience: * HS Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of personal computer experience. (required) * Some higher education experience or successful completion of related programs in data processing and computer operations. (preferred) * Two years of experience in business mailroom, print operations, and/or mail sorting experience. (preferred) * Experience with using loading and maneuvering equipment safely and effectively. (preferred), * Candidates who hold an active public trust government clearance are strongly encouraged to apply. * Candidates who are willing to undergo a background investigation to receive a government clearance will be strongly considered. * Candidates must be able to work Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm daily. (Hours may vary based on workload and candidates must be flexible) * Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more. * Must be able to stand for significant periods of time. ## Description A Computer Operator I will be tasked with monitoring and controlling our operational systems.
