## About the Role

* 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development
 * Strong C and/or C++ programming skills
 * Solid experience with microcontroller development
 * Strong bare-metal / firmware development experience
 * Experience with STM32 or comparable microcontrollers
 * Good understanding of hardware/software interfaces and embedded systems
 * Experience debugging embedded systems at a low level
 * Embedded Linux is a plus
 * French-Speaking is a preference

## Description

We are currently working with an innovative technology company based in Liege, specialising in advanced image processing and imaging systems. They are looking to strengthen their R&D team with an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer.

This role is particularly suited to an engineer with a strong background in low-level embedded software, firmware and bare-metal development, who enjoys working close to the hardware and contributing to technically challenging products.

You will work closely with the hardware and R&D teams to develop, integrate and optimise embedded software for sophisticated imaging systems., * Design, develop and maintain embedded software and firmware using C/C++

 * Develop software for STM32 and other microcontroller-based platforms
 * Work on bare-metal and low-level embedded development
 * Develop and integrate firmware with electronic hardware
 * Work closely with hardware engineers throughout the development lifecycle
 * Debug and troubleshoot software at both hardware and firmware level
 * Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions
 * Optimise embedded software for performance, reliability and resource constraints
 * Support hardware/software integration and validation
 * Contribute to the development of new and existing imaging technologies
