## About the Role

* Strong experience in functional analysis and application architecture.
 * Expert knowledge of modern Java, Spring, microservices, API-driven and event-driven architectures.
 * Good knowledge of data modelling, data integration and data security.
 * Strong experience with relational databases, particularly MySQL.
 * Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
 * Strong knowledge of Atlassian/Jira.
 * Experience working within a federal public-sector environment is an advantage.
 * Knowledge of security, compliance and NIS2 requirements.
 * Languages: Dutch, French and English.

## Description

We are looking for an experienced Application Architect / Functional Analyst to support the modernization of a complex IT environment combining legacy systems with modern Cloud and hybrid architectures. You will help improve architecture, reduce technical debt, and ensure secure, scalable and maintainable solutions.

 * Perform functional and technical analysis for business projects.
 * Design and review application, data and integration architectures.
 * Advise development teams on technologies, architectural patterns, performance and scalability.
 * Lead design reviews and validate Proofs of Concept.
 * Ensure compliance with architecture, security and development standards.
 * Bridge communication between business, development, security and infrastructure teams.
 * Analyse and resolve complex business and technical problems.
 * Ensure consistency between legacy and modern systems.
 * Apply Security by Design principles and translate NIS2 requirements into technical measures.
 * Document architectural decisions and support knowledge sharing within teams.
