You'll ideally have: * Strong commercial Java development experience * Experience developing and maintaining software in a commercial environment * A good understanding of software design, development practices and code quality * Experience with APIs, integrations or complex business applications * Strong problem-solving and debugging skills * Excellent communication and collaboration skills * An interest in mentoring and supporting other developers * A proactive approach and a genuine desire to improve how things are done The opportunity This is a role for an experienced Java Developer who wants to grow with the team. You'll remain hands-on with Java development while gradually taking on more responsibility for technical standards, solution design, mentoring and delivery., * AWS * DevOps * Java & Related Technologies * PostgreSQL (Database) ## Description This is a hands-on role focused on designing, developing, testing and improving Java-based software, working across development, testing, implementation and support to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions. It's also an opportunity to take the next step towards technical leadership. As your experience develops, you'll have the chance to take greater responsibility for technical direction, software quality, mentoring and team development, with the potential to progress into an R&D Manager position within approximately 12 months, subject to performance and business requirements.
