* Extensive and demonstrable background in modern software engineering and development practice
 * Expertise in multiple modern software languages
 * Experience working within the cloud, with AWS currently in use
 * Knowledge of modern DevOps practice and writing infrastructure as code
 * A security-by-design mindset
 * Ability to translate complex business needs into elegant technical solutions
 * Ability to influence stakeholders, senior management, and peers
 * Experience coaching and mentoring junior engineers
 * Experience in the financial services sector is beneficial
 * Experience in a scale-up business is beneficial
 * Ruby on Rails experience is beneficial but not necessary
 * Experience with reactive programming is beneficial
 * Experience with AI/ML engineering is beneficial
 * DevOps experience: 3 years preferred
 * Software development experience: 4 years required
 * Ability to commute to or relocate to Edinburgh EH2 2JG before starting work
 * United Kingdom work authorisation required
