## About the Role

* Strong ability to communicate vulnerability information to non-security personnel.
 * Working knowledge of web applications.
 * Working knowledge of databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL).
 * Solid understanding of networking concepts and tools (Nmap, Wireshark, vulnerability scanning)., * Hands-on experience with SIEM search and analysis.
 * Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
 * Familiarity with NIST 800-53 standards., * Minimum: High School Diploma
 * Preferred: Security+ certification

***Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor. The contractor must have their own equipment. Access to a virtual desktop set up (software) will be provided by Lumen's client, allowing the user access to the required systems and technology.***

## Description

We are seeking a Security Analyst - Intermediate to support Medicaid security for payment processing systems. This position offers diverse challenges, continuous learning opportunities, and a relaxed yet supportive work environment., * Perform vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation with responsible teams.

 * Deploy and manage Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions.
 * Review and evaluate firewall requests.
 * Research and assess newly released vulnerabilities.
 * Assist with incident response and investigations.
 * Support GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) assessments.
 * Create alerts in SIEM tools based on data from multiple security systems.
