Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # IT Applications Analyst - **Company:** Linnaeus Group - **Location:** Shirley, UK - **Experience:** Experienced - **Contract:** Temporary contract - **Skills:** Application Configuration Access Protocols, Application Services, Microsoft Azure, Software as a Service, System Configuration, Microsoft Office - **Published:** May 13, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.linnaeusgroup.co.uk/careers/vacancies/it-applications-analyst-6-months-fixed-term ## About the Role Essential Experience * 4+ years' experience in IT Operational Support (1st or 2nd Line) with a strong focus on applications * Strong hands-on experience supporting business applications * Experience working within ITIL frameworks * Service Operations experience working to SLAs and KPIs * Knowledge of Incident, Request, and Change Management processes * Experience in application configuration and maintenance * Experience supporting SaaS applications such as Microsoft Azure or supporting/configuring off-the-shelf applications Knowledge & Technical Skills * Strong troubleshooting skills across both on-premise and cloud-based applications * Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite * Understanding of Incident Management processes * Awareness of development and software delivery processes Skills & Attributes * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders * Experience coordinating incidents with third-party suppliers on behalf of customers * Strong analytical and application problem-solving skills * Ability to work both remotely and on-site while managing workload independently * A proactive attitude with a willingness to investigate unfamiliar issues and see problems through to resolution Desirable * ITIL v3 or ITIL v4 Certification ## Description We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Application Analyst to join our Application Services Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong application support experience who enjoys troubleshooting, improving services, and working across both cloud and on-premise environments. In this role, you will provide 2nd and 3rd Line Application Support, manage incidents through to resolution, and work closely with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure the stability and performance of business-critical applications.
