## About the Role

* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering at an accredited school in the United States.
 * Preferred standing: 3rd- or 4th-year undergraduate student or Master's student., * Experience developing embedded software in C/C++ on RTOS-based platforms.
 * Knowledge of firmware development, interrupt handling, low-level drivers, and timing-critical systems.
 * Experience working with ARM processors, hardware interfaces, and multi-processor architectures.
 * Familiarity with FPGA/CPLD integration and hardware-software interaction.
 * Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

It would be nice if you had:

 * Experience with embedded Linux or other operating systems used in embedded development.
 * Exposure to optical networking, telecommunications, or networking protocols.
 * Experience using debugging tools, version control systems, and software development best practices.

## Description

* Develop and maintain embedded software and firmware using C/C++ for optical transport systems.
 * Design, implement, integrate, and verify real-time embedded solutions from requirements through deployment.
 * Support development on RTOS-based platforms, including low-level drivers, interrupt handling, and control firmware.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware, ARM processors, and FPGA-based components.
 * Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues involving software, hardware, optics, and multi-processor architectures., The length of the recruitment process may vary depending on the specific role's requirements.
