Additional Preferred * Associates degree in an engineering field, or equivalent industry. NDT (Non Destructive Testing) experience accepted. * Basic understanding of nondestructive testing principles and acoustic emission. * Certification: MAE Level 1 (per ASNT, ISO 9712, or equivalent) preferred but not required, training will be provided. * Candidate lives close to the worksite (Midland / Odessa, Texas area). Physical Requirements This position involves both office and field work. Duties may include working from heights, standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, crouching, working in elevated spaces. Frequent use of hands is required for handling tools, sensors, and computer equipment. Vision requirements include color vision, close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The role may involve lifting up to 50 pounds, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and traveling to customer sites domestically. ## Description If you know your way around trucks, trailers, or mechanical systems, this is how you break into a specialized field that most technicians never get access to. As a Technician Trainee - Fuel Systems (Level 1), you'll work alongside certified inspectors learning Modal Acoustic Emission (MAE) testing, an advanced, in-demand method for evaluating compressed natural gas and hydrogen storage systems. The Level 1 designation is the defined entry point into a structured certification pathway. This role is built for someone who wants to grow.
