Kotlin experience is a plus, not a requirement. * Excellent knowledge of frameworks and the judgement to pick the right one in the right context. Examples are the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring core, Spring Data, Spring AI) or Kotlin variants like Ktor. Plus the tooling around it (Gradle or Maven). * Proven experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure. * Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. * Good knowledge of authentication technologies such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML. * Good knowledge of database technologies Relational, Documents, (MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Postgres). * Good understanding of messaging and broker systems (Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, Kafka, SNS/ SQS). * Solid grasp of common software engineering practices: OO principles, modern design patterns, test-driven development, continuous integration and continuous deployment. * Good understanding of security concepts and best practices (OWASP). * Good understanding of DevOps practices (infrastructure as code (terraform), observability, CI/CD) * Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. * Strong communication and collaboration skills. * A passion for building high-quality, maintainable, scalable, and secure software. * You apply AI tools at an advanced level to accelerate high-quality delivery, and you critically validate what comes out of them (e.g., Claude, Codex, etc). ## Description * Design, develop, and implement backend APIs using secure and efficient programming languages and frameworks. * Migrate and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure. * Automate backend deployments and infrastructure provisioning using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform. * Optimise cloud resource utilisation for cost-effectiveness and scalability. * Implement robust security measures to protect our applications and data in the cloud.
