## About the Role

* Strong practical Data Architecture experience
 * Modern cloud data platform architecture
 * Snowflake and Oracle, or comparable OLAP and OLTP technologies
 * Advanced SQL and strong ELT and data transformation knowledge
 * Data warehouse and lakehouse architecture
 * Batch, event driven and analytical data patterns
 * APIs, integration and orchestration
 * Logical, physical and semantic data design
 * Metadata, catalogue and lineage implementation
 * Data security, privacy and access control patterns
 * DevOps/DataOps, CI/CD and infrastructure as code awareness
 * Strong understanding of performance, scalability and cost optimisation
You'll define reusable architecture patterns across pipelines, platforms, APIs, events and analytical services, while ensuring security, data quality, observability, resilience and operational support are designed in from the outset.
This is an initial 6 month contract, Inside IR35, paying £525 to £600 per day.
The role is hybrid in Edinburgh, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. There are no fixed anchor days.
