## About the Role

Are you a skilled and detail-oriented professional with a passion for Python development and data analysis? E.ON UK is looking for a talented individual to join our Volume Forecasting team in a critical analytical role., * Highly numerate with degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.

 * Strong coding skills with the ability to design and maintain.
 * The ability to assimilate information quickly.
 * Strong commercial analysis skills with good attention to detail.
 * Ability to identify and work with imperfect/incomplete information and to use appropriate business rules and/or statistical/risk modelling techniques to manage uncertainty.
 * Informal presentation skills and an ability to put across complex concepts clearly.
 * Good interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and interface effectively with people from all levels and parts of the organisation.

It would be great if you have

 * An understanding of forecasting processes & techniques.
 * An understanding of the energy industry.

## Description

* Working on model developments in Databricks (Python) contributing to the re-platforming work across Volume Forecasting.
 * Demonstrating an aptitude for problem solving, innovation and high attention to detail.
 * Using quantitative and qualitative techniques to provide high quality, accurate volume forecasts of the future energy requirements of E.ON UK's customers, from which forward energy wholesale purchases are transacted.
 * Utilising robust analytical methods generate results from inputs, while challenging and reviewing methodologies to continually improve forecasting performance.
 * Demonstrate great stakeholder management; requiring a strong capability for prioritising and promoting change to meet challenging timescales, while maintaining quality and flexibility for customers.
 * Building strong relationships across E.ON Energy Markets, commercial services and the wider E.ON group, actively supporting team development.
 * Using operational excellence to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
 * Contributing to ad hoc projects, as requested, supporting the wider business through use of modelling and analytical techniques to implement solutions to commercial challenges facing the business.
