Day-to-day, you will work across systems that sit at the heart of this organisation - from telemetry and real-time communications platforms to simulation tools and analysis pipelines used by key stakeholders. This is a hands-on leadership position; you will remain a working engineer contributing directly to design and code, not simply directing from a distance. A significant part of this role involves helping to evolve legacy desktop applications into modern solutions - so an understanding of that migration journey is a real advantage here. The team works across a deliberately broad stack: C++ and C# for desktop and backend services, Rust for performance-critical work, React and TypeScript on the front end, AI tooling is actively embraced across the group, and an enthusiasm for applying it pragmatically will be welcomed. ## Related Videos - [Rust Beyond Systems: Revolutionizing Web Development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1111-rust-beyond-systems-revolutionizing-web-development) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [WeAreDevelopers LIVE - the weekly developer show with Chris Heilmann and Daniel Cranney](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1309-wearedevelopers-live-the-weekly-developer-show-with-chris-heilmann-and-daniel-cranney) - [From DevOps to Scaled DevOps: How We’re Rebuilding Continuous Delivery as a Platform](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100018-from-devops-to-scaled-devops-how-we-re-rebuilding-continuous-delivery-as-a-platform) - [Coffee with developers - Brian Morrison](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/902-coffee-with-developers-brian-morrison) - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) ## Related Articles - [Building AI Solutions with Rust and Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/494-building-ai-solutions-with-rust-and-docker) - [4 reasons why you should learn Rust in 2021 – and maybe even have fun doing it](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/35-4-reasons-why-you-should-learn-rust-in-2021-and-maybe-even-have-fun-doing-it) - [Top in-demand programming languages to learn in 2021](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/30-top-in-demand-programming-languages-to-learn-in-2021) - [The Best Software Developer Blogs to Read](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/156-the-best-software-developer-blogs-to-read) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Where to Find Entry-Level Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/397-where-to-find-entry-level-software-engineering-jobs)
