## About the Role

You will be an experienced infrastructure engineer with demonstrated senior-level experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments. A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience, is required.

You will bring experience administering Linux Server and Windows Server platforms, with strong expertise in virtualisation, preferably Nutanix. Experience with enterprise server hardware, preferably HPE, as well as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID, will be important. You will also have experience with backup, recovery and resilience platforms, security, patching and hardening, complex technical troubleshooting, automation and infrastructure lifecycle management. Strong communication and documentation skills, the ability to build productive relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and experience mentoring colleagues and providing technical leadership are essential.

Experience with Nutanix AHV, AOS and Prism Central, HPE management tools, Cohesity, Qumulo, infrastructure as code or modern engineering practices would be advantageous.

As a Senior Digital Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving the University's core infrastructure platforms. Working across server, virtualisation, storage, backup, cloud and identity platforms, you will provide senior technical expertise supporting both on-premises and hybrid cloud services. You will help ensure infrastructure remains secure, stable, resilient and aligned with operational and strategic requirements., Information Technology Services (ITS) leads the University's digital direction, manages and protects the digital ecosystem, supports digital initiatives and delivers digital services that enable the University to teach, research and operate successfully in a secure, resilient, connected, sustainable and future-ready digital environment. ITS is part of the Corporate Services Group within the portfolio of the Chief Operating Officer
