## About the Role

* At least seven years of software engineering experience, including platform, infrastructure, or backend development.
 * Experience in a high-growth technology startup environment.
 * Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and ephemeral environments, preferably with Buildkite.
 * Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js with production codebase experience.
 * Extensive AWS expertise across multiple service areas.
 * Strong skills in Terraform and/or Pulumi, including CI-driven workflows.
 * Knowledge of service-level objectives, error budgets, incident response, and observability.
 * Proven ability to ship production code.
 * Strong written communication skills for technical documentation.

## Description

* Manage and enhance AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Pulumi.
 * Develop and maintain internal developer tools, TypeScript libraries, SDKs, and reusable frameworks.
 * Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and manage ephemeral pull request environments.
 * Improve system reliability through service-level objectives, error budgets, autoscaling, observability, and incident response.
 * Address performance and scalability challenges involving Aurora PostgreSQL and distributed services.
 * Collaborate with product engineers to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
 * Document complex systems and promote technical standards within the engineering team.
