Preference will be given to candidates with Unity experience Journeyman Programmers are expected to be comfortable with more challenging tasks than a Junior Programmer and to be able to work independently as needed Experience with the life cycle of design and programming of a game based product from concept through project completion Experience with Agile software development Experience with version control software (Perforce is preferred) Possess a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, manage time efficiently, and work in a team environment Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; an Interim Secret clearance is required before being able to start Desired Skills: Active Secret security clearance Experience developing Serious Games, Games for Training, or Educational Games, especially for DoD customers. Specific experience using a modern version of the Unity engine (2019 and newer) and strong C# skills Strong experience developing UI systems using Unity UI (uGUI) Experience with Unreal 3, Unreal 4, VBS and/or other commercial game engines Experience with iOS, Android, and/or Windows Mobile development Working experience with Perforce Working experience with Atlassian project management projects (JIRA / Confluence) Experience with C/C++ Objective-C, JavaScript, HTML, JSON, XML and other languages Portfolio/GitHub with examples of game programming is preferred Education and Experience: 3+ years of professional Game Programming experience, ideally using Unity Bachelor's in Game Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline 7 years of experience may be used in lieu of degree. ## Description Seeking a highly motivated Journeyman Unity Game Programmer to support a training development team primarily focused on developing serious games for a diverse audience. We use the phrase "serious games" to describe a variety of applications that use gaming technologies or mechanics for a purpose other than strictly entertainment. You will be a key member of an agile scrum development team working closely with fellow programmers, game designers, instructional designers, and artists on the implementation of new features for new and existing applications and games for training and education.
