Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. * Proven experience conducting user research and applying human-centered or service design methods in complex organizational environments. * Experience developing personas, journey maps, workflow maps, service blueprints, wireframes, prototypes, and research synthesis products. * Ability to plan and facilitate interviews, workshops, co-design sessions, usability tests, and stakeholder reviews. * Strong analytical skills to interpret qualitative and quantitative data, identify root causes, and develop actionable recommendations. * Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including product owners, visual designers, subject matter experts, and senior stakeholders. * Proficiency with collaborative research and design tools such as Figma, FigJam, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms. * Excellent written, verbal, visual communication, facilitation, and client engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences. * Ability to work independently, manage multiple activities, and adapt to changing priorities within a mission-focused environment. * U.S. citizenship and the ability to meet government security, suitability, and system-access requirements. * Active SECRET clearance. ## Description LMI is seeking an experienced User Experience (UX) Designer to join a project supporting a Defense Agency's personnel process modernization and technical talent acquisition efforts. The ideal candidate will leverage human-centered design and service design methodologies to analyze and improve HR services across organizational and system boundaries. Working within a cross-functional team, the UX Designer will utilize LMI's Magnify framework to assess current user experiences, synthesize findings, envision future service improvements, and inform implementation strategies. This role demands a skilled researcher and facilitator capable of translating complex personnel workflows and stakeholder needs into clear, validated, and actionable service enhancements.
