Qualifying degrees: Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or Engineering Science with a recognized concentration in any of the above listed engineering degrees. Qualifying experience: One year of full-time engineering experience in electrical systems. ## Description Duties Description Duties include but may not be limited to: Supervise and inspect building construction projects of moderate size and complexity. Coordinate the work of contractors and multiple trades to ensure compliance with contract drawings, specifications, schedules, standards, and construction procedures. Perform field inspections and investigations; review workmanship, materials, installations, and schedule testing for compliance with contract requirements. Monitor contractor progress and schedules, identify potential delays, and coordinate with contractors and scheduling staff regarding corrective actions or recovery schedules when necessary. Review shop drawings, product data, samples, submittals, FRIs, Information Bulletins, and other construction documentation for completeness and contract compliance. Investigate field conditions, construction conflicts, and design issues and coordinate with supervisory and design staff to develop appropriate resolutions. Prepare, review, and recommend contract changes, field/change orders, time extensions, and other contract-related documentation. Conduct and participate in project meetings; maintain required project records, reports, correspondence, inspection documentation, and construction files. Review contractors' applications for payment and verify quantities and work completed prior to recommending payment. Assist with substantial completion, final inspections, project turnover, closeout documentation, and warranty-related activities. Provide direction and oversight to assigned inspection staff and/or consultants and review their work and reports. Assist higher-level staff with the administration and oversight of larger or more complex projects. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor, consistent with the operational needs of the Division of Construction. Operational Needs: Travel may be required (approximately 50%).
