## About the Role

* 5+ years of experience with software engineering including designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications
 * Experience in software development using modern compiled and interpreted programming languages
 * Experience with front-end development including a modern web development stack and framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, including HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
 * Experience with back-end development building services and APIs such as Spring Boot, .NET, Node.js, Django, gin-gonic, gofiber, or FastAPI
 * Experience developing, packaging, and deploying containerized applications with Docker, and container orchestration such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or ECS
 * Experience with various database solutions including relational or NoSQL databases, including data modeling, query optimization, and use of ORMs
 * Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines such as Git CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
 * Knowledge of software design patterns, microservices architecture, and secure coding practices and debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
 * TS/SCI clearance
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or technology field, or 8+ years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

 * Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or CloudFormation
 * Experience with message brokers and event-driven architecture such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS
 * Experience observability and monitoring such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog, or Splunk
 * Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, vitest, or JUnit or pytest
 * Experience with DevSecOps practices, SAST/DAST tooling, and vulnerability remediation
 * Experience with authentication and authorization standards including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, or SAML
 * Experience with caching strategies, such as Redis or Memcached, and API gateway technologies
 * Experience integrating AI capabilities into production applications, including implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions with vector databases, embedding models, and LLM APIs or SDKs
 * Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments with tools such as Jira, Azure Boards, or GitLab
 * Cloud certifications
