Required Analytical Skills: * Experience classifying wetlands and deepwater habitats using aerial imagery and the Cowardin classification system. ## Description Ducks Unlimited-Michigan seeks a full-time GIS Specialist to join the Great Lakes/Atlantic Region geospatial team in Dexter, Michigan. This position will support updates to the U.S. National Wetlands Inventory (NWI), develop GIS data and maps for conservation projects, and collaborate with internal staff and external partners. The successful candidate will bring experience with NWI projects, strong GIS technical skills, and excellent communication and time-management abilities to help advance wetland conservation through geospatial science. Office Work: The successful candidate will work in the Dexter, Michigan office. Field Work: The successful candidate will be willing to travel for project-related fieldwork, partner meetings, and conferences. Travel less than 10% of overall work.
