## About the Role

The successful candidate will have more than 10 years of relevant professional experience and a demonstrable record of delivering sophisticated analytics solutions. This is a hands-on position, so practical implementation experience is essential; academic Data Science experience alone will not be sufficient., * 8+ years of relevant hands-on experience in Data Science, advanced analytics or a closely related field.

 * Strong Python proficiency.
 * Strong SQL and/or ETL experience.
 * Practical knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytical techniques.
 * Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
 * Experience implementing analytics solutions in production environments.
 * Strong verbal and written communication skills.
 * Excellent stakeholder management, organisation and time-management skills.
 * Ability to work independently, adapt quickly and solve problems creatively.
 * Previous experience working in Agile environments.

Desirable experience

 * Scala and/or Apache Spark.
 * Hadoop ecosystem.
 * Cloudera distribution of Hadoop.
 * Natural language processing.
 * Large language models and AI agents.
 * Mathematical optimisation.

Applicants should be able to work under a hybrid arrangement in Brussels and have the appropriate right to work in Belgium.

## Description

* Design and implement advanced analytics solutions.
 * Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
 * Apply techniques including machine learning, natural language processing, large language models, AI agents and mathematical optimisation.
 * Develop data and analytics solutions using Python, SQL and ETL processes.
 * Implement advanced analytics solutions within controlled production environments.
 * Work with Microsoft Azure and related cloud services.
 * Collaborate with technical teams, end users and senior business stakeholders.
 * Present findings and explain complex technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
 * Contribute to Agile delivery and ensure technical work supports the final product.
 * Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to maintain modern Data Science practices.
