## About the Role

Essential

 * Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
 * 3-5 years of experience within Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a similar position.
 * Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and modern cloud data platforms.
 * Strong Python development skills.
 * Experience working with Git/GitHub for source control and collaboration.
 * Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally using Terraform.
 * Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
 * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Desirable

 * Experience with Databricks.
 * Knowledge of dbt, Apache Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
 * Experience with Linux scripting.
 * Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
 * Exposure to analytics and AI-focused data platforms.

## Description

We are looking for an Azure Data Engineer to join a growing Data & Analytics team and play a key role in the development and management of a cloud-based data platform built on Microsoft Azure on a Freelance Basis, * Design, develop, and maintain data solutions on Microsoft Azure.

 * Build and optimise data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lake architectures.
 * Support analytics, business intelligence, and AI use cases within the data platform.
 * Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across the data landscape.
 * Create and maintain technical documentation, processes, and integrations.
 * Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners within agile delivery teams.
 * Contribute to the development of tools, frameworks, and best practices that support data engineering teams.
