You will teach Computing from Years 1 to 8, helping pupils develop the knowledge and skills they need to use technology confidently, creatively, and safely. Alongside teaching, you will act as the school's primary IT contact, supporting users, maintaining systems and devices, and working with external providers to ensure technology supports learning effectively. This is a varied role that combines teaching, subject leadership, and practical IT management. Working closely with the Head, Bursar, colleagues across the school, and external partners, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing Pennthorpe's technology provision., * Lead the development of Computing across Years 1 to 8 * Teach Computing lessons and support technology-related enrichment opportunities * Monitor the quality of teaching, learning, and outcomes within the subject * Provide effective support for hardware, software, and user issues * Manage user accounts, permissions, devices, and aspects of the school's MIS * Support audio-visual requirements for assemblies, productions, and other school events * Promote online safety and responsible use of technology * Work with the Head of Finance & Operations and external IT providers to maintain secure and reliable systems Life at Pennthorpe Pennthorpe is a successful independent preparatory school where children are known as individuals and encouraged to make the most of their strengths and interests.
