## About the Role

* Strong commercial experience with Kubernetes (K8s) administration and engineering.
 * Hands-on experience with Docker and containerisation technologies.
 * Experience with at least one major cloud platform:
 + Azure
 + AWS
 + Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
 * Strong understanding of Linux systems administration.
 * Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as:
 + Azure DevOps
 + Jenkins
 + GitHub Actions
 + GitLab CI
 * Infrastructure as Code experience using:
 + Terraform
 + Ansible
 + Bicep or equivalent
 * Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as:
 + Prometheus
 + Grafana
 + ELK Stack
 + Splunk
 * Strong troubleshooting and performance optimisation skills.

Technical & Ways of Working

 * Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS).
 * Experience with OpenShift.
 * Service Mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
 * GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD or Flux.
 * Experience in regulated financial services or large enterprise environments.
 * Exposure to platform engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.

## Description

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Kubernetes Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team on an initial 12-month contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes-based platforms, supporting the delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions.

What you'll do;

 * Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across cloud and/or on-premises environments.
 * Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerised applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
 * Implement infrastructure automation and platform engineering best practices.
 * Collaborate with development, architecture, security, and operations teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
 * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated application delivery.
 * Monitor platform performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
