## About the Role

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, supported by relevant certifications in Python development, MySQL, or back-end frameworks, and experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
Minimum of 5 years of hands?on experience designing, developing, and maintaining applications using Python 3.10+ and FastAPI for production microservices, including proven success in modernizing legacy Python services into well?structured, asynchronous microservices.
Experience with Flask or Django is a plus.
Strong ability to implement scalable, maintainable microservices using Python and FastAPI, including async programming patterns, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.
Advanced knowledge of MySQL (Aurora experience a plus), including database design, writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions, coupled with deep experience using SQLAlchemy (including async engine and session management) as the ORM, along with Pydantic for data validation and serialization.
Proficiency in Docker, Gunicorn with UvicornWorker, and Git, along with related libraries or frameworks, to deliver scalable, production?ready microservices and end?to?end solutions, with hands?on experience in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent) for automated builds and deployments, and writing unit and integration tests using pytest or equivalent frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem?solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot effectively, conduct peer code reviews and apply coding standards and best practices while working closely with cross?functional teams.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, in particular Amazon Web Services (AWS) services such as ECS, ECR, S3, and CloudWatch, along with a commitment to staying up?to?date with emerging tools, frameworks, and industry best practices.
Experience with Apache Cassandra or similar NoSQL databases is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, strong attention to detail, adaptability to changing requirements, and well?developed organizational and time?management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
