## About the Role

* 7+ years of experience in embedded software and systems development.
 * 2+ years of experience leading technical projects or engineering teams.
 * Strong experience with C/C++ programming; assembly experience is a plus.
 * Experience programming PIC and ARM microcontrollers.
 * Strong understanding of SPI, I2C, RS232, USB, and TCP/IP communication protocols.
 * Experience with RTOS environments such as FreeRTOS or embedded Linux.
 * Strong understanding of microcontrollers, digital control/feedback systems, and user interfaces.
 * Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies; Scrum Master experience is a plus.
 * Experience with hardware/software debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit emulators.
 * Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
 * Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
 * Experience with IoT, Industry 4.0, or IPC CFX is a plus.

Education

 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
 * Master's degree is a plus.

## Description

We are seeking a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to serve as a technical leader within the software organization. This role will work closely with engineering leadership to mentor the software team, improve development processes, and define system-level architecture for next-generation precision technology products.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who enjoys coding, mentoring, and driving technical strategy, with a strong ability to bridge hardware and software development., * Lead software engineering projects and mentor engineers while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

 * Develop and improve software development, testing, release, and deployment processes for embedded systems.
 * Partner with Engineering and Product teams to define software architecture and requirements.
 * Design, develop, test, and debug embedded software for prototype and production systems.
 * Develop software for systems involving microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and user interfaces.
 * Perform software reviews, requirements analysis, risk assessments, and reliability analysis.
 * Develop and implement software testing and quality assurance practices.
 * Participate in cross-functional teams supporting new product development and product launches.
 * Create software specifications, proof-of-concepts, technical documentation, and project reports.
 * Mentor engineers on coding standards, testing, documentation, and software development best practices.
