## About the Role

* 8+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or related technical roles
 * 6+ years of hands-on experience with Python and SQL, including developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
 * 2+ years of experience working with cloud data ecosystems such as Azure Data Factory
 * 1+ years of experience with modern data processing and lakehouse technologies like Databricks
 * Strong knowledge of data integration from diverse sources and formats
 * Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and architecture
 * Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance principles
 * Bachelor's degree in a related field
 * Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident, * Experience supporting federal government or regulated environments
 * Prior experience with CDC data environments
 * Cloud or data engineering certifications, such as Microsoft Azure certifications

## Description

Blu Omega is seeking two Senior Data Engineers to support data modernization and analytics initiatives. This role is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing enterprise-scale data platforms supporting mission-critical data science and analytics within a hybrid work environment., * Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL

 * Build, optimize, and manage scalable data models, data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse environments using technologies such as Databricks
 * Ingest, clean, validate, transform, and integrate large-scale datasets from various sources including APIs, relational databases, flat files, and unstructured data
 * Design data schemas and models that support analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives
 * Implement data quality, metadata management, governance, and security controls to ensure trustworthy data
 * Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to deploy and manage data solutions within Microsoft Azure
 * Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability using logging, alerting, and CI/CD practices
 * Partner with data scientists and analysts to develop data structures supporting evolving analytical requirements
 * Document architecture, pipeline logic, data flows, and procedures for maintainability
