The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between initial concept and final production, ensuring all systems meet rigorous functional and manufacturing standards. Key Responsibilities System Ownership: Lead the engineering, design, development, timing, and release of body closure sheet metal and hinging systems. Cross-Functional Coordination: Manage packaging requirements with adjacent departments, including electromechanical, electrical, lighting, and trim. Validation & Compliance: Work closely with virtual validation groups to ensure the CAE scorecard and manufacturing feasibility goals are met. Documentation: Maintain and update critical engineering documents, including DVP&R and DFMEA. Supplier & Quality Management: Support and manage suppliers for quality actions and Vehicle Operations (VO) activities. Technical Communication: Communicate product status and competitor benchmarking data to management; align with Architecture, Vehicle Concepts, and Program Science teams.
