This role will be instrumental in defining architecture strategy, shaping multi-year technology roadmaps, guiding modernization efforts, and ensuring scalable, reliable, secure, and sustainable solutions that support energy operations and business outcomes. The ideal candidate is a senior technology leader with strong enterprise architecture experience, proven leadership skills, and the ability to partner across business, IT, cybersecurity, data, operations, vendors, and delivery teams to drive innovation and disciplined execution in a complex energy IT environment., * Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer Science Engineer, Engineering Technology, etc) * Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT architecture and technology-heavy roles, with a significant focus on platform design and development. * 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience, either through direct people management or by leading large-scale technical projects involving cross-functional teams and senior-level stakeholders. * Analytical and problem resolution skills, adaptability to change and strong initiative * Deep expertise in designing and building scalable, reliable, and secure enterprise-grade IT platforms. * Strong understanding of architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, serverless, event-driven, API-first)., * Experience supporting utilities, energy generation, nuclear, power operations, grid modernization, SCADA, OT/IT convergence, wholesale trading, retail/customer systems, or another highly regulated and operationally complex industry. * Demonstrated ability to communicate architecture strategy, decisions, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to technical, business, and executive audiences. * Experience defining or governing technology strategies that span applications, data platforms, integration platforms, cloud services, infrastructure, cybersecurity, AI, automation, digital capabilities, and emerging technologies. * Experience leading people directly or providing sustained leadership to matrixed teams, architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and strategic programs. * Experience with modern architectural patterns and delivery practices, including microservices, serverless, event-driven architecture, API-first architecture, cloud-native design, DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and platform engineering. * Experience integrating cybersecurity, resilience, identity, access management, compliance, and risk management considerations into architectural designs and technology roadmaps. * Experience leading strategic assessments, pilots, proofs of concept, technology evaluations, vendor assessments, and architecture decisions that inform enterprise investment and adoption.
