By integrating usage, spend, compliance, and access data, we provide a level of clarity and insight previously unimaginable. At the heart of our products is our identity data platform, the systems that ingest identity data from hundreds of third-party integrations and turn it into the trusted, insight-rich primitives that power every Lumos product. As a Software Engineer on our Data Engineering team, you will design and ship the shared primitives product teams build identity features on. You'll lead projects like defining and shipping an integration-agnostic Access Graph API. Today Identity Intelligence consumes EntraID's access graph through a direct integration call, capping insights to a single integration, and your work will let Identity Intelligence and future products generate insights across every access-graph-enabled integration as it comes online. We're a startup that values ownership, curiosity, and trust, and we're looking for engineers who love building platform infrastructure that enables teams to move faster while improving resilience and visibility. Your Responsibilities * Design and implement core components of our identity data platform, including APIs, service layers, and interfaces that abstract raw identity data into shared primitives other products build on. * Build and extend our data interface framework, enabling reusable patterns for contract design, versioning, and observability across producer and consumer teams. * Work across teams to migrate product surfaces off direct integration or database reads and onto well-defined, product-grade APIs. * Contribute to a world-class data infrastructure by building the primitives, Access Graph APIs, the Unified Entitlements Data API, and similar, that let engineering, product, and AI teams access high-quality identity data seamlessly. * Drive key technical decisions and lead by example, through architecture reviews, mentoring, and pairing with other engineers on complex data-interface problems. * Champion resilience, observability, and scalability in every layer of the identity data platform. ## Related Videos - [From Messy Queries to Scalable Systems - How Data Engineering actually works](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100203-from-messy-queries-to-scalable-systems-how-data-engineering-actually-works) - [Modern Data Architectures need Software Engineering](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1030-modern-data-architectures-need-software-engineering) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Putting the Graph In GraphQL With The Neo4j GraphQL Library](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/257-putting-the-graph-in-graphql-with-the-neo4j-graphql-library) - [Meet Your New BFF: Backend to Frontend without the Duct Tape](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/682-meet-your-new-bff-backend-to-frontend-without-the-duct-tape) - [Enjoying SQL data pipelines with dbt](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/823-enjoying-sql-data-pipelines-with-dbt) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [The Best X (Twitter) Accounts for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/294-the-best-x-twitter-accounts-for-developers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Dev Digest 139 - Soft and hard queries](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/487-dev-digest-139-soft-and-hard-queries)
