## Description

Avis Budget Group seeks a Lead Firmware Engineer to drive development of embedded solutions that power our global fleet and connected mobility platforms. In this hybrid role, you will architect and implement firmware for vehicle and IoT devices, integrating with telematics and cloud systems to enable safe, reliable, and data-driven operations. Partnering with hardware, software, and product teams, you'll lead engineers, establish best practices, and ensure security, quality, and scalability across large, distributed deployments.

Responsibilities

 * Architect, develop, and optimize embedded firmware for connected vehicles and fleet hardware
 * Lead and mentor firmware engineers, enforcing best practices and code quality
 * Integrate firmware with vehicle systems, Io
 * T devices, and cloud platforms
 * Collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams to define technical requirements
 * Implement robust testing, debugging, and validation of embedded systems
 * Ensure security, safety, and reliability standards for automotive and mobility solutions
 * Drive continuous improvement of development tools, processes, and documentation
 * Support deployment, diagnostics, and issue resolution across global fleets
