## Description

Assists with maintenance of both physical and virtual servers; performs software upgrades and patching and troubleshoots technical issues. Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, VMWare or another hypervisor, DNS, and DHCP required.Assists with maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting on the City's IP network including switches, firewalls, APs, and point-to-point wireless devices.Tracks equipment and materials and maintains inventories.Provides systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems.Make recommendations to the IT Director about purchasing decisions and policy changes.Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and remain in control in stressful situations.Perform administrative duties as required.QualificationsAt least an Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, 1+ years' experience supporting computer networks and systems, or a, combination of education and experience.
