## About the Role

* Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications with Oracle APEX.
 * Proficiency in Oracle Database, SQL and PL/SQL.
 * Experience developing and enhancing APEX pages, forms, reports and workflows.
 * Experience with application modernization and performance optimization.
 * Knowledge of secure application-development practices.
 * Experience supporting integrations and data exchanges.
 * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.
 * Ability to work onsite in Richmond as required and attend an in-person interview.

Experience with government systems, healthcare applications, HIPAA, PII/PHI, vital records or large-scale data-modernization initiatives is highly desirable.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to work on a W-2 basis.

## Description

* Design and develop new Oracle APEX pages, components and application enhancements.
 * Modernize existing vital-records and vital-statistics applications.
 * Develop and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code.
 * Improve application performance, security, usability and long-term maintainability.
 * Strengthen controls protecting sensitive PII and PHI.
 * Support integrations with state and federal partner systems.
 * Troubleshoot application defects and implement effective resolutions.
 * Participate in requirements gathering, testing, deployment and production support.
 * Create and maintain technical documentation.
 * Collaborate with business users, technical teams and agency stakeholders.
