Preferred Certifications * OSHA 10 certification preferred; certification must be obtained within 90 days if not already held. * First Aid/CPR certification required within 90 days. * FOA certifications preferred. * BICSI cabling certifications or similar industry credentials preferred. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be: * Reliable, punctual, and prepared to work. * Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and sense of integrity. * Comfortable working in fast-paced, changing environments. * Willing to learn new technologies, techniques, and processes. * Comfortable teaching and supporting less experienced team members. * Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality. * Flexible regarding work schedules, including occasional nights, weekends, overtime, and after-hours work. * Safety-conscious and committed to following established procedures. ## Description Structured Cabling & Infrastructure * Install, test, service, and decommission structured cabling systems, including: * Fiber optic cabling * Copper cabling * Communications systems * Low-voltage infrastructure * Install and remove cabinets, racks, cable trays, pathways, and related data center infrastructure. * Perform physical installations, removals, and infrastructure modifications with accuracy and attention to detail. * Route, label, terminate, test, and commission cabling in accordance with project requirements and industry standards. Safety & Quality * Follow all applicable safety requirements, site procedures, and industry best practices. * Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. * Perform work with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and productivity. * Ensure installations meet project specifications, customer requirements, and applicable standards. * Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Technical Execution * Read and interpret project drawings, specifications, installation documentation, and manufacturer guidelines. * Apply a solid understanding of structured cabling installation, routing, labeling, testing, and commissioning. * Identify potential installation issues and communicate them to supervisors or project leadership. * Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining high standards for workmanship.
