## Description

Serves as the top-level technical expert responsible for the design and development of client/server environments. Develops client/server strategies and the infrastructure designs necessary to support those strategies., * Develop client/server system strategies and the infrastructure designs necessary to support them.

 * Advise on the selection of technology purchases related to processing, data storage, data access, and application development.
 * Establish standards for the organization's client/server relational database structure, including SQL, Oracle, Sybase, and similar technologies.
 * Advise management on the feasibility of potential future projects.

Network Integration and Engineering

 * Provide technical expertise and assist with network integration and consolidation efforts across multiple network environments.
 * Address and resolve complex technical problems related to the installation and upgrade of network hardware and systems.
 * Document engineering standards and lead the development of network architecture, engineering designs, and changes.
 * Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.

Technical Analysis and Collaboration

 * Interface with customers, vendors, and other technical staff to analyze business and technical requirements.
 * Evaluate current and emerging network technologies, conduct technical assessments, and make recommendations to the Chief Engineer.
 * Solve complex problems involving multiple variables.
