## Description

As Principal Software Engineer, you define the architectural direction for Elastic Cloud's application networking, including Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls. You'll lead cross-organizational initiatives, elevate reliability, and mentor engineers while partnering with product and senior staff to shape the platform. This role offers influence over high-scale networking systems and the chance to drive architectural clarity and cost efficiency. You'll work in a distributed environment delivering secure, observable cloud services.

Responsabilidades
Set the technical direction for major application networking initiatives from proposal to GA
Lead development of Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls at scale for Elastic Cloud
Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and operability issues
Lead multi-quarter, cross-organizational projects and guide delivery
Improve operational quality and lead end-to-end incident investigations and on-call rotation
Mentor engineers and act as a trusted technical advisor across the org
Collaborate with product management and senior stakeholders on trade-offs and roadmap direction
Champion security, stability, and cost-efficiency improvements
Untangle complexity and bring architectural clarity across the platform
