## About the Role

* Strong traditional infrastructure background: Linux, networking, DNS, bare-metal and data-centre environments
 * Solid infrastructure-as-code experience; Ansible preferred, but strong Terraform or similar is welcome if you can pick up Ansible quickly
 * Comfortable outside a purely cloud-native stack
 * Prior SRE, platform or infrastructure leadership experience
 * A team player first, technical expert second
 * Nice to have: Rust or Go, familiarity with major cloud providers, Ruby

* Owning and evolving a bare-metal, data-centre-based infrastructure estate
 * Working with Kafka and Redis as part of the core stack
 * Driving infrastructure-as-code, deployment and provisioning improvements
 * Acting as a senior technical voice and mentor in a small, high-calibre team
 * Supporting a new US hosting region and a longer-term move towards more decomposed, containerised deployments
