## Description

* Contribute to reducing cost per hire by building automation tools and migration strategies
 * Develop, test, and optimise backend APIs using RESTful and GraphQL standards
 * Lead the decommissioning of Rails monolith components, ensuring a smooth transition
 * Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify technical improvements
 * Maintain and enhance backend integrations with third-party systems
 * Drive code quality through regular reviews and adherence to best practices
 * Create comprehensive documentation for system architecture and deployment processes
 * Drive requirements and ownership of large, complex projects or systems
 * Manage stakeholders across multiple projects and communicate proactively
 * Guide teams through designing and building large, reusable systems
 * Ensure systems are simple, maintainable, and scalable
 * Own and lead mono- or polyglot development projects, especially in Python/Django and Ruby on Rails, Rust, or Java
 * Build and maintain backend APIs and integrations with third-party vendors
 * Lead code reviews ensuring standards for cleanliness, reliability, and functionality
 * Document system architecture, API specifications, and deployment procedures
 * Monitor system performance and maintain observability tools
