## About the Role

* 3+ years of experience in network security engineering or a related cybersecurity role
 * Proficiency with firewalls, SIEM tools, and network monitoring platforms (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Splunk)
 * Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and network protocols
 * Experience with cloud security environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
 * Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ preferred
 * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
 * Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

## Description

Select Minds LLC is looking for a talented Network Security Engineer to join our growing team in Dallas, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to protect critical infrastructure, design robust security solutions, and work alongside a team of passionate technology professionals. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love solving complex security challenges, we want to hear from you!, * Design, implement, and maintain network security architectures, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)

 * Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents and threats in real time
 * Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis across network infrastructure
 * Configure and manage VPNs, access control lists (ACLs), and zero-trust network policies
 * Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all systems
 * Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and incident response procedures
 * Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and compliance requirements (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.)
