## About the Role

* Qualified to degree level, In Software or Electronics Engineering, or related discipline,
 * Experience with field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA)
 * Experienced in integrating complex electronic products, fault finding and diagnosis.
 * Experienced in one of digital electronics design and verification, programmable logic device design and verification, software design and verification or real-time systems, and awareness of the others.
 * Self-motivated and enthusiastic to become familiar with new techniques and tools,
 * Awareness of safety-critical development constraints (e.g. IEC62566).
 * Experienced in timing analysis.

## Description

As a Software/Hardware Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for validating complex sub-systems and ensuring the timely delivery and quality of the artefacts associated with system integration, verification and validation. You will work closely with a range of engineering teams to support the successful delivery of robust and effective solutions., * Develop test documentation, including test plans, procedures, reports and automated test scripts.

 * Develop test equipment solutions and conduct Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level testing across a range of functionality and environmental tests.
 * Develop automated testing procedures for FPGA designs and support detailed integration testing against DOORS requirements.
 * Conduct failure investigations and root cause analysis, applying structured problem-solving techniques.
 * Ensure adherence to change control, configuration management and established development processes, demonstrating solution correctness and traceability to design requirements.
 * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing cost and timescales while improving quality.
 * Support process and technical audits, product design reviews and verification activities.
 * Liaise closely with software, systems, hardware, programmable hardware (FPGA) and safety teams to deliver integrated solutions.
