## About the Role

* Must have an active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility \n
 * Possesses a B.S. in a related field and 10+ years of database administration experience including experience with Oracle databases. \n
 * ITIL v4 Certification \n
 * Oracle Database Administration (12c-21c): Installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting. \n
 * A strong understanding of data and databases, Python, the ability to translate customer requirements, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders \n
 * Strong oral and written communication skills. \n

## Description

The Senior Database Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle database systems to ensure high performance, security, and availability. In this role, the Senior Database Administrator will design and implement database schemas, monitors database health, and performs routine backups and recovery operations to safeguard mission-critical data. Additionally, the Senior Database Administrator will troubleshoot database-related issues, manage user access and permissions, and optimize queries to enhance system performance. In this role, the individual will ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards while staying current on updates, patches, and advancements in Oracle technologies. The Database Admin will build, support, administer, and sustain a clustered-server database platform hosted in an enterprise IT environment.
