In addition to ourcutting-edgescientific achievements, we haveestablishedlasting ties with industrial partners and created several spin-off companies.CONTEXTAND MISSIONWe are seeking apostdoc to join theQuantum Machine Learningteam(QML-CVC) in beautiful Barcelona.TheQML-CVCteam(/ ) is part of the Computer Vision Center at theUniversitatAutònomade Barcelona; theCVC isacenterwith over 150 persons working machine learningand computer visionresearch.The position is for3years, startingASAP,focused on'Quantum Machine Learning',withtheobjectiveof investigating hybrid classical-quantum and quantum inspired algorithms.
The tasks will include the design and implementation of explorative research pathways for general problems related to machine learning and computer vision.
Specific research lines can be defined in collaboration with the supervisor, with potential avenues including generative models, optimization tasks, orotherspecific applications.Thecandidate will work in the context of the project ML-QSIM, a 4-year, 2M€ projectfunded by the Spanish Government,withina multidisciplinary team incollaboration with 3 most relevant institutions for the Spanish Research Council (CSIC): Centro deInvestigaciónenNanomaterialesyNanotecnología(CINN) in Asturias, Instituto deNanocienciayMaterialesde Aragón (INMA), and the Instituto deCienciadeMaterialesde Madrid (ICMM).
Particularly, this will allow the validation of the research results in the Rydberg platform to be implemented during the lifetime of the project.Thiscontractwillbe part ofprojectI+D+igrantAIA***********-C43,fundedbyMICIU/AEI/********/************/.
