Education: Degree in Computer Science, Programming, Security or related field, or equivalent work experience. ## Description The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, security, and reliability of the organization's IT infrastructure. This role ensures the availability and performance of servers, networks, cloud services, endpoint devices, and enterprise applications while providing technical support and implementing best practices for cybersecurity and system management., Systems Administration * Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Windows and/or Linux servers. * Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity management services. * Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, or other cloud platforms. * Monitor system health, performance, and capacity to ensure high availability. * Perform regular system updates, patch management, and firmware upgrades. Network Administration * Configure and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks. * Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. * Implement and maintain network security controls. Security & Compliance * Implement cybersecurity best practices including endpoint protection, multifactor authentication, and vulnerability remediation. * Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents. * Conduct regular backup verification and disaster recovery testing. * Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements. * Creates and maintains proper documentation and procedures for security compliances, such as GDPR, NIST 800-171, CMMC, etc. User Support * Provide Tier II and Tier III technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. * Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. * Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees. * Document solutions and maintain technical knowledge base articles. Infrastructure & Operations * Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V. * Administer backup and recovery solutions. * Maintain inventory of IT assets and software licenses. * Develop and maintain system documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures. * Participate in after-hours maintenance and on-call support as required.
