## About the Role

* Expert-level Data Engineering experience.
 * Strong Java development experience.
 * Advanced AWS experience.
 * Advanced Apache Kafka and Kubernetes experience.
 * Experience with ETL, data pipelines, data integration and large-scale data processing.
 * Knowledge of Big Data engineering technologies and practices.
 * Experience working across multiple technical teams and taking ownership of engineering decisions.
 * SC Clearance would be preferred

## Description

* Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/data processing solutions.
 * Build solutions for data generation, collection, transformation, migration and deployment across systems.
 * Ensure data quality, accessibility, reliability and performance across data platforms.
 * Monitor and optimise data pipelines, identifying and resolving performance or reliability issues.
 * Work across engineering and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
 * Provide technical expertise, contribute to architectural and engineering decisions, and solve complex data challenges.
 * Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices and knowledge sharing.
 * Drive continuous improvement through new technologies and modern data engineering practices.
