You'll work across the embedded stack, from RTOS and low-level drivers through diagnostics, communication protocols, and platform architecture. You'll work closely with electrical, battery, systems, and vehicle teams to bring ECUs from first power-on through validation and into real superbike and supercar programs. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You'll be expected to make architectural decisions, get into the hardware when things don't work, and drive problems through to production. What You'll Do * Develop and release production-grade firmware in C/C++ for MCU peripherals and external components including SPI, I2C, UART, CAN/CAN-FD, ADC, DMA, and timers * Architect clean abstractions across RTOS, drivers, middleware, and application layers * Lead ECU bring-up from first power-on through validation * Develop production-grade diagnostics and vehicle communication including UDS, CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet, and LIN * Shape the structure and evolution of Brelle's embedded codebase, build systems, CI/CD, and development tooling * Work hands-on with hardware in the lab and with vehicle teams during integration and validation * Help establish engineering practices that allow us to move quickly without compromising reliability or safety * Mentor other engineers and raise the technical bar through design reviews, code reviews, and collaboration ## Related Videos - [Getting to Know Your Legacy (System) with AI-Driven Software Archeology](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1437-getting-to-know-your-legacy-system-with-ai-driven-software-archeology) - [Building a hypercar from scratch](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/607-building-a-hypercar-from-scratch) - [How a Small Team Shrank a Microsoft Monorepo by 94%](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1236-how-a-small-team-shrank-a-microsoft-monorepo-by-94) - [Cyber Security: Small, and Large!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/259-cyber-security-small-and-large) - [Why your codebase lies to AI?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100281-why-your-codebase-lies-to-ai) - [Git for Code Reviews](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/429-git-for-code-reviews) ## Related Articles - [How software is steering vehicle technology](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/515-how-software-is-steering-vehicle-technology) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Dev Digest 138 - Are you secure about this?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/486-dev-digest-138-are-you-secure-about-this) - [Now is the time for industrialized software development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/601-now-is-the-time-for-industrialized-software-development) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [The Best Software Developer Blogs to Read](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/156-the-best-software-developer-blogs-to-read)
