## About the Role

* TS/SCI minimum clearance required.
 * Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree)
 * 15+ years of software engineering experience, including architecture leadership of distributed or mission-critical systems
 * 5+ years architecting microservices-based platforms in production
 * Hands-on expertise with Java (JDK 21+), Linux (RHEL/Rocky), and distributed systems
 * Strong experience with core platform technologies such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch/Logstash, RabbitMQ, and service discovery/orchestration/secrets tooling (Consul, Nomad, Vault, Kubernetes, or similar)
 * Occasional project travel may be required, about 10%.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

 * Experience with Vue.js 3 and modern frontend architecture for administrative/operational interfaces
 * Experience designing hybrid cloud and edge deployment patterns
 * Experience integrating with standards-based government, identity, travel, or partner ecosystems
 * Experience architecting systems with zero/low downtime upgrade paths or event replay/offline-sync patterns
 * Experience supporting platforms that integrate with scanners, readers, imaging devices, kiosks, or other edge hardware
