This role owns the full storage lifecycle - architecture, procurement, deployment, optimization, compliance, and decommissioning - and serves as the program's technical authority on storage, working with a high degree of autonomy in support of continuous 24/7 operations. Candidate must possess an active Top Secret/SCI eligible clearance and must be able to obtain a CI Poly successfully., * Active Top Secret Clearance/with SCI eligibility. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree. * Enterprise storage and infrastructure engineering experience in an production environment. * Hands-on SAN, NAS, or object storage administration at enterprise scale. * Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky) and Windows Server administration. * Storage protocols: iSCSI, NFS, SMB/CIFS, and S3. * PowerShell and Bash scripting; familiarity with Ansible or Puppet. Desired: * Dell EMC ECS, DataCore Swarm, VAST Data, or NetApp ONTAP. * Elasticsearch/ELK cluster administration. * Hyperconverged infrastructure (VxRail, VxFlex) and virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V). * Spectra Logic tape and archive operations. * STIG remediation and RMF/ATO support. * Storage vendor management and procurement. ## Description The Senior Storage Engineer will be responsible for designing and managing tiered, multi-site storage architectures that meet capacity, performance, availability, and SLA requirements while forecasting growth and executing storage migrations, refreshes, and consolidations. The Senior Storage Engineer will install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot object storage platforms including Dell EMC ECS, DataCore Caringo Swarm, and VAST, while administering S3-compatible storage and supporting S3 API integrations. The Senior Storage Engineer will administer multi-vendor SAN/NAS environments, including NetApp ONTAP clusters, as well as Dell PowerEdge servers, blade infrastructure, and Spectra Logic BlackPearl tape and archive systems. The Senior Storage Engineer will automate provisioning with Ansible, maintain firmware and OS patching, and ensure infrastructure meets security and compliance requirements.
